A CONVERSATION WITH DANNIE MORGAN AND ALICE OPPENHEIMER
Dannie Morgan is a twenty six year old Event and Dressage rider based at Bow Lake Equestrian nr Eastleigh, where he rents ten boxes with a mixture of Event and Dressage horses. He currently has seven horses to event plus his own Dressage horse "Southern Cross Braemar" as well as competing for the Oppenheimer’s at Headmore Stud and Livery..
Dannie is from a non-horsey family and started riding when he was around ten at a riding school in Southampton. When he turned 18, he moved to Ringwood to work for the late Adele Schardt who ran Somerley Park Horse Trials. He had opportunity to produce various horses through the grades over the five years that he was based there. Dannie trains with Anna Ross and Erik Theilgaard for the dressage and Corinne Bracken for jump training. He aims to compete at the highest level across both disciplines. Here, international Grand Prix rider, Alice Oppenheimer finds out more about Dannie in this informal chat at Headmore Stud.
