A CONVERSATION WITH...SAMANTHA BROWN BY ALICE OPPENHEIMER
Samantha Brown is an elite British Dressage rider who has competed nationally and internationally for Great Britain. She is also a well known trainer and prolific breeder of ponies, notably Caesar 171 and son Le Chiffre who just represented Great Britain at the European Championship for Ponies. Sam is also the creator of the acclaimed SamanthaBrownDressage Academy that aims to enable sustainable riding improvement across all levels and abilities for the committed rider. The series is based upon the scales of training which are rhythm, suppleness, contact, impulsion, straightness and collection.
As a member of SBD Academy you become a part of a development and confidence building community. It requires commitment in order to develop your knowledge and understanding and she offers an incremental programme to redress and address issues to help you to progress your riding skills. The first series was focused on pole work; using advanced pole work techniques to develop core strength for both horse and rider. Core strength is a pre-requisite in order to apply the scales of training correctly. This series will enable you to confidently utilise poles to achieve progressive training results. Sam invites applications for those who are dedicated to their development.
